North East Bay - north east of San Francisco and north of Fremont

East Bay - between Fremont and Berkley

Silicon Valley - Santa Clara County in the South Bay (especially San Jose, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos)

Peninsula - west bay south of San Francisco including Silicon Valley. Some even consider Santa Cruz as part of the Peninsula.
